WITHOUT MUCH ATTENTION, THE AGE OF PLANETS IS HERE
@AdamFrank4
Maybe we’re a little swamped globally with other things – revolutions, economic crises, holidays, you know… but still, this is pretty damn remarkable and I have to note it.
Rightly put by Univ. of Rochester Astrophysicist Adam Frank:
"Can you feel it? Did you mark its approach? Can you sense our passage across its threshold?
Something has changed for us. Something new and remarkable has happened. We have entered the age of planets and, even if you can’t see it now, nothing will ever be the same…
If we are smart enough and lucky enough to develop a sustainable global civilization it will be through the perspective gained by this new science.”
A perspective worth noting.

Kenya Has Mobile Health App Fever - Technology Review Mobile health platforms are fast emerging in Kenya, where one startup’s newly launched mobile health platform is attracting nearly 1,000 downloads daily, and the dominant telecom, Safaricom, has forged a partnership that will give its 18 million subscribers access to doctors.
Will Africa be the leading continent when it comes to use new and mobile technology in health care? Will that let them to leapfrog the whole problem of gigantic health care systems which we in the west now see suffocating from demographic pressure, and increasing and toxicating complexification, both internally and externally.
